Health Occupations

Two Year Program
3 credits:  Junior and Senior
*Upon successful completion of this course students will earn 1 science credit.

Health Occupations class is designed to introduce students to medical terminology, anatomy, and basic bedside care skills.  Students will learn to give daily care to a patient (bathe, feed, and assist with activities of daily living.)  During this course students will learn the basic skills that all health care workers need and have the opportunity to train to become a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).  Health Occupations students will gain experience in first-hand application of skills through their work with patients in a local nursing facility.
